Hit the Slopes, Trails, and Ice
In the winter, Montanans live for the chance to ski! Discovery Ski Area and The Montana Snowbowl are close to Missoula for downhill skiing, and Pattee Canyon and the Rattlesnake Trail are great options for cross country skiing. Hiking in showshoes or cramp-on’s can be done on Mount Sentinel or Waterworks outside of town. In addition, ice skating is available at Glacier Ice Rink and off Rattlesnake Drive.

local theatre troupes like Missoula Community Theatre and the University host a
