In the summer, Missoula is chock full of events for every
type or traveler. If you are looking for a reason to visit Montana, or if you
have a trip planned and are looking for events while you are here, Missoula has
you covered. Check out our suggestions for events this summer, and be sure to
check in with Destination Missoula’s Events Calendar as it gets updated
throughout the season!
Saturday Markets
Every Saturday in Missoula, there are three markets to
enjoy: the Clark Fork and Missoula farmers markets and the Missoula Peoples
Craft Market. Browse local produce, eat delicious food truck cuisines, and shop
locally made artisan craft goods, all in downtown Missoula within walking
distance of the Comfort Inn.
Out To Lunch Series
If you find yourself in Missoula on a Wednesday, you have to
check out Out To Lunch. Every Wednesday afternoon, Caras Park comes to life
with live music and food trucks. It is a fun way to enjoy a sunny day in
Missoula along the banks of the beautiful Clark Fork River.
Missoula Summer Concerts
The Missoula concert line-up is outstanding this year (check
out the full list here), so traveling to Missoula to listen to some great music
is a must-do. If you happen to be traveling in for a Logjam Presents show at
the Wilma or the KettleHouse Amphitheatre, be sure to request the Logjam
Discount during your stay at the Comfort Inn. As a bonus, be sure to check out
the line-up for the second annual Traveler’s Rest Festival, a two day music
fest right here in Missoula!

There is perhaps no weekend more energetic and fun than the
weekend of the Missoula Marathon. Whether you are running, walking, or
observing, this world-class, top-rated race is surrounded by fun events and
lots of energy in our town.
River City Roots Festival
At the end of each summer, Missoula is home to the River
City Roots Festival. The streets of downtown Missoula are closed off for music,
family-friendly fun, and food trucks. This is a great way to celebrate the end
of the summer and take in all of Missoula’s roots.
